A stainless steel range cooker in an industrial style kitchen [kitchen case study]

Do you like contemporary kitchens?  Are you looking to create a kitchen with industrial styling? Take inspiration from this Roundhouse kitchen.

Designed for a professional couple in Camden; this U-shaped kitchen needed to have the ‘wow’ factor to complement its surroundings. The couple’s canal-side house was designed by award winning architect - Nicholas Grimshaw.

The design-conscious owners fell in love with the unique house and wanted a kitchen that was in keeping with the architecture. Jane Telford, of Roundhouse, said: “The kitchen had to be functional, but elegant, and work with the open plan space. A peninsular provides a breakfast bar as well as generous work surface space, and additional storage, whilst marking the edge of the cooking zone.”

Roundhouse made the bespoke stainless steel cabinets especially for this project. The handle-less 'Urbo' kitchen also features white high gloss wall units, for a sleek contemporary finish, which suits the futuristic architecture of the house.

The stainless steel Sigma range cooker complements the industrial aesthetic of the kitchen, matching the stainless cabinets. Jane said: “We think the clients chose a Britannia, largely because we had one on display in the showroom they visited and they really liked it.”
