Cheese & Potato Crumble Biscuits

These savoury biscuits are made with cheese and onion flavoured

crisps. Believe us they are ideal for serving with pre dinner drinks or

with home made soup.

 

Preparation time: 10 minutes

Cooking time: 12 – 15 minutes

Makes 16 biscuits

True Fan 190°C

 

200g (7oz) grated mature cheddar cheese

100g (3½oz) soft butter

125g (4oz) plain flour

5ml (1tsp) mustard powder

150g (5oz) cheese and onion crisps

cayenne pepper

 

Preheat the oven using the Quick start function, then select true fan function.

Place the cheese, butter, flour and mustard powder in the bowl of a food mixer or food processor. And mix

the ingredients together. Alternatively place in a bowl and mix with a wooden spoon.

Add the crisps and mix again until a soft dough is formed.

Divide the mixture into 16 pieces, shape into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with non stick baking

paper. Squash gently with a fork.

Sprinkle with a little cayenne, remember cayenne pepper is hot!

Place in the oven a bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown but still soft in the middle.

 

tip: Try using Marmite® flavoured crisps and substitute the mustard with Marmite®
