Advice & support

Installing your Britannia cooker

Why do gas appliances have to be installed by CORGI registered fitters?

All gas appliances must be installed by a CORGI registered engineer. This is to ensure that they are fitted in accordance with Gas Safety Regulations.

What distance should I leave between the top of the hob and the underneath of my extractor hood?

We recommend that a clearance of a minimum of 650mm is allowed.

Do I have to leave a gap either side of the cooker, when planning my kitchen?

We recommend leaving a gap of 2.5mm either side of the cooker, simply to be able to manoeuvre the cooker into place. If the cooker is in place first, it is safe to build your cabinets right up to the side of the cooker.
