RANGE COOKERS

Range cooker or built-in oven? A little known way to have the best of both worlds

25TH MAY 2011
range cooker or built-in oven? You can’t choose between a range cooker or built-in oven for your new kitchen? Maybe you like the look of built-in, but you would like all the cooking options a range cooker offers?

The picture below shows how a built-in look has been created for a Britannia range cooker in Hutton Kitchens’ showroom in Billericay.

The plinth below the kitchen cabinets continues below the cooker creating a built-in look. This can be done for any Britannia range cooker with twin or single ovens as the feet are slightly set back. Please keep in mind that, in case your range cooker requires servicing in the future, you need to be able to pull the range cooker out. So you should be able to remove the plinth, and you need a gap of 2.5mm at either side.

All our XG range cookers (all our cookers with a separate grill compartment) come with a plinth as standard so you can’t create a built-in look for them.
