A quick guide to Britannia range cookers

There are more than 200 different Britannia range cookers, so it’s not surprising if you are a little confused. Here is a short introduction to get you started.

Style and specification differences
There are five different range cooker families: Sigma, Dynasty, Classic, L Line and E Line.

Britannia Sigma, Dynasty and Classic range cookers have the highest specifications. Only the style of these models differs. Dynasty range cookers have a professional look without windows. Sigma range cookers have square windows in line with their contemporary good looks and Classic range cookers have, as you might expect from a more traditionally styled range cooker, arched windows.

L Line range cookers are our mid specification models while E Line range cookers have the lowest specifications.

Fuel types
Dual fuel is the most popular fuel type. Every range cooker model is therefore available in dual fuel.
Ceramic range cookers are available for all 90cm and 100cm range cookers (including all XG models with a separate grill compartment). Only the E Line range doesn’t feature a ceramic option.
Induction range cookers are available for Sigma, Dynasty and Classic range cookers in the following sizes: 90cm double oven range cookers, 100cm double oven range cookers and 100cm XG double oven range cookers (with a separate grill compartment).

Product sizes
There is a selection of 90cm single, 90cm double, 100cm double, 120cm double and 150cm double oven range cookers. Moreover, our XG collection features 100cm and 110cm range cookers with a separate grill compartment. Please note that not every size is available for each product family. Colours
Perhaps not surprisingly, all our range cookers are available in stainless steel and black (graphite or gloss black). Moreover, Sigma, Dynasty and Classic range cookers are available in cream.

Cooking features
All 60cm ovens are multi-functional (this means they feature a fan oven as well as a conventional oven). They also feature Quickstart – when you pre-heat the oven, the temperature will get to 200°C in just 6 minutes! Click here for more information about our oven functions or have a look at our video:

The rotisserie is great for cooking perfectly succulent chicken, game or a leg of pork. All our range cookers feature a rotisserie excluding the 90cm single and 120cm twin range cookers. Click here to view our rotisserie demonstration video.

The Chef Top is a stainless steel hotplate. Anything you can prepare under a grill, in a wok or in a frying pan can be made on the Chef Top.

Large oven cookers
There are 90cm single range cookers with an oven capacity of 78 litres. Our 150cm range cookers feature a large oven (78 litres) and a standard oven (53 litres).
