Should you opt for a model with a separate grill compartment?
This is a matter of personal preference. You should keep in mind that all Britannia ovens feature a grill. Moreover, if you choose a range cooker with a Chef Top, then everything that traditionally would be grilled can also be cooked on the Chef Top. 100cm double oven range cookers
100cm twin range cookers feature a 60cm main oven and a 40cm second oven. The main oven has a capacity of just over 53 litres and it features 9 different oven functions. The main oven features Quickstart – a fast pre-heat system that brings the temperature to 200°C in just 6 minutes! Read more about our oven functions or check out our full list of Britannia features.
The main difference between 90cm and 100cm range cookers is the second oven. The second oven of a 100cm range cooker has a capacity of 43.7 litres while the second oven of a 90cm range cooker has a capacity of 30.8 litres. That's an increase of more than 40%!
100cm double oven range cookers with a separate grill compartment
Britannia 100cm XG range cookers feature a powerful adjustable grill in a separate compartment. The main ovens and second ovens are the same as for 100cm double oven range cookers. In order to make space for the separate grill compartment at the top left hand side of the range cooker, the main oven is slightly lower than the main oven of a 100cm range cooker without a grill compartment and the storage drawers is smaller.
